Aquino said the intrinsic characteristics of Filipino workers are what investors want from their work force.
The President cited the success of the business process outsourcing industry in which Filipinos have excelled, through creativity, dedication and loyalty.

NY BPO eyes Cebu, Philippines for expansion in its outsourcing operations

New York-based and NASDAQ-listed business process outsourcing (BPO) service provider ExlService Holdings Ltd. expands to Cebu by 2013.
The company plans to add at least 1,000 seats to its local operations; which are two offices in the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City that have a total of 1,722 seats and 1,800 employees.
The company started operations in the Philippines in 2008.

Cebu, Philippines – Cebu is named 2012’s “Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit” by The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), which conducted the search, sent a formal communication congratulating the Cebu provincial government on its victory.

IBM focuses in Cebu & Davao

Information technology (IT) and business giant IBM places a high priority on secondary cities for the company’s geographical expansion.
This year IBM’s market expansion will be focused on secondary cities in the Philippines, like Cebu and Davao. IBM-Philippines intend to focus serving the manufacturing and retail sectors of Cebu and the agricultural plantations of Davao.
IBM makes a careful selection of cities to expand to, making sure factors like having a large educated population with a significant wealth of IT skills, a city’s gross domestic product, attractive industries and enough telecommunications and services, were present so they could introduce their products.
