Philippine Outsourcing industry to unite for growth
October 13, 2012 | Leave a Comment
Industry players collaborate and focus on growth opportunities in the Philippines’ outsourcing industry, as protectionist legislation in the United States and other countries is not a threat.
Protectionism might be “a modest concern”, as companies which outsource their operations or services would always find ways to maintain their profitability.
This was brought up during a panel discussion titled: “Threats and Challenges: Should protectionism be a genuine concern for the global service delivery business?” at the 4th International Outsourcing Summit held in Makati City yesterday.

Best-value Training for Successful Goals

When business goes bad, personnel or staff training is the first in-house activity to be taken out as it is seen as a “cost activity”. Management is responsible for the success or failure of trainings. Senior management should provide post support mechanisms that ensure the training becomes meaning and sustainable. As training means development, it will be only successful only if it’s monitored and sustained through management support.
The responsibility for the success of the training rests on the shoulders of the trainer not the trainee.
