Outsourcing – US H-1B and L-1 Visa Reform Act of 2009
August 23, 2009 | Leave a Comment
For many years the H-1B Visa has been under heat by groups either protecting US labor opportunities for American citizens or protecting the interests and futures of business.
The H-1B is a non-immigrant visa under the Immigration & Nationality Act of the United States , allowing American employers to temporarily employ, even transport, foreign workers in specialty occupations.
Now new and developing legislation proposes to deal the problems that H1-B visa program causes for some American IT workers.
There are even speculations on the future of the H-1B and L-1 Visa Reform Act of 2009, whether or not it will be passed and enacted?
There are concerns whether or not it will dampen business relations between the United States and India?
