Philippines best India as Global BPO Leader

According to the latest IBM Global Locations Trend Annual Report, the Philippines is now the world leader in business support functions, besting India in categories such as shares services and business process outsourcing.
The 2010 IBM report highlights the Philippines as an attractive business environment for international business support functions however compared to India’s BPO hot spots, the costs of labor and services in the Philippines are more cost-effective.
In the same report, the Philippines only ranked 3rd to the United States and the United Kingdom as a top-ranking destination for investments from China and India-based companies by estimated job employment.
This clearly shows the Philippines’ dominance in business process outsourcing.

DOST focus on Science and Tech development in Philippines

The DOST’s Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) have programs that assist inventors, from the first stages of developing a concept to its commercialization.
