Fashion firms in Cebu seek to push professionalism and technical support to the budding fashion designers in Cebu.
Cebu as a Fashion Design center in the Philippines, or even in Asia, is long overdue and not far from reality that quite a number of talented Cebuanos have already made waves in the country and in the world.
There are increasing number of Cebuano designers making waves in Manila and abroad.
Like Monique Lhuillier who honed her talents in her garage in Cebu, now a successful fashion designer in Hollywood and in world’s fashion design industry.
With shops in posh shopping malls there in Metro Manila, designers like Kate Torralba, Jun Escario have already established their brand of style in the domestic market.
It is high time for Cebu to professionalize the industry to produce world-class fashion designers to compete well in the global runway.
