Cebu launches its first Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at the University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College (UPVCC), with the full support of local tech entrepreneurs, the Ayala Foundation and the Department of Science and Technology.

The TBI is a facility where technology based start-ups can be nurtured and budding entrepreneurs in IT and software development are given knowledge and skills to succeed in this sector. The facility provides both office space and services.

Call center agents in the Philippines unite have launched their party-list group, the Association of Call Center Agents of the Philippines (ACCAP) in order to be represented in the Philippine Congress in 2010 National elections.

Formed in 2007, ACCAP aims to advance the interests of call center agents in the Philippines.

The group has already more than 70,000 computer literate and Internet savvy members nationwide who contact each othe using convenient information and communications technology, enabling them to organize without the need of physical offices and meetings.
