US business process outsourcing (BPO) companies are set to invest in their expansion of operations in provinces of the Philippines, like Cebu and Iloilo.

Companies, like Callbox, are putting in money as much as USD1.2 million (PhP50 million) for more facilities and employees in Iloilo City to strengthen its growing worldwide operations.

Iloilo City has been named one of the Top 10 BPO hubs in Asia-Pacific by global network firm KPGM as well as one of the Top Ten Next Wave Cities for outsourcing by the Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP).

BPO companies see the Philippines as the dynamic stage to deliver quality services. The expansion of BPO operations in Philippine provinces like Iloilo only assert the country as a principal global BPO destination.

The low-cost of operations and facilities with the availability of a large workforce with good English communication skills make the Philippines ideal for business outsourcing.

Included in the expansion plans is the hiring and training of personnel to work as customer service representatives (CSRs), search engine optimization (SEO) specialists, web developers, web designers, and graphic designers.
