Cebu Pacific: More flights to Hong Kong.

To meet the strong demand for its busiest international route, Cebu Pacific will fly more daily, budget flights between Manila and Hong Kong, starting this November.

“Cebu Pacific offers the lowest fares to Hong Kong, and we hope guests can take advantage of even lower fares with this seat sale. They can also go to the Fun Tours website for affordable hotels and tour packages,” the company said.

Not just the dancing flight attendants, there’s now more reason to fly Cebu Pacific.

B/E Aerospace Inc. builds airplane cabins in the Philippines.

The Philippines has been chosen as the site of the aircraft interiors manufacturing facility of British firm B/E Aerospace Inc. from 32 countries worldwide,

Starting with USD30 million, B/E Aerospace Inc. plans to build galleys for the Airbus A350 XWB widebody aircraft, taking advantage of the Philippines’ service sector and its attractive investment climate. Learn more here

US power firm boosts up power plant.

U.S.-BASED power giant AES Corp. begins to expand its 600-megawatt Masinloc coal-fired facility in Zambales, Philippines.

“Based on our experience to date, the Philippine economy continues to show significant levels of growth, which requires new low-cost electric generation capacity,” according to AES president and CEO Paul Hanrahan.

The infrastructure investment needed to expand the Masinloc power generation facility  would require up to $800 million. Know the news here

Cebu and Bohol teams up for Tourism.

Executives of the  Bluewater Beach Resort chain in Cebu are focusing their marketing campaign in Cebu and Bohol, with support of the private sector and the government to design tour packages that will include stops at tourist spots in both provinces.

Cebu is already a hub while Bohol has yet to wait for its new airport and encourage international direct flights. With the current situation, both can partner by making Cebu the entry point with tours around the province and connect to Bohol which is what most tourists are already doing now. Find out more here

Tower 2 rises in IT Park
Due to the overwhelming unit sales of its Tower 1,  Avida Towers Cebu will launch Tower 2 a year ahead of schedule. Both Avida Tower 1 and Tower 2 are located in Asiatown IT Park, barangay Apas, Cebu City.
