According to the Chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Dato’ San E. Khoo, information and communications technology (ICT) is a key tool to re-energize trade across world borders and raise up the global economy  out of the 2008 global financial recession.

Call center agents in the Philippines unite have launched their party-list group, the Association of Call Center Agents of the Philippines (ACCAP) in order to be represented in the Philippine Congress in 2010 National elections.

Formed in 2007, ACCAP aims to advance the interests of call center agents in the Philippines.

The group has already more than 70,000 computer literate and Internet savvy members nationwide who contact each othe using convenient information and communications technology, enabling them to organize without the need of physical offices and meetings.
