Last year, two foreign global services companies, one from Australia the other from the United States, merged with local business process outsourcing firms in the Philippines to improve productivity and profitability for 2010.

Call Design is an Australian firm which specializes in contact center technologies makes plans to establish its central hub for delivering contact center services to global clients in the Philippines.

Working with local outsourcing firm Transcom, they’re currently employing some 4,000 contact workers in the positively growing local business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

“Compared to other Asian countries, the Philippines has the strongest teams in the business process outsourcing (BPO) space, teams that understand the marketplace and use technology to resolve issues.”

Boston-based global BPO platform Stream Global Servcies, Inc. plans to create a global BPO services company with the Philippines’ eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. (An AYALA Group company  to earn a projected revenue of USD1 billion in 2010.

The created corporate entity  would have a Fortune 1000 customer base, an executive team with years of experience in technical and product leadership across industries, including tech, retail, media, telecommunications and financial service sectors.
